1976 MG MIDGET 1500. CHROME BUMPER CONVERSION! DAMASK RED. ONLY 70K MILES. RECENT RESTORATION WITH NEW PAINT & INTERIOR.  £5995

You often find an MGB with a chrome bumper conversion but not a 1500 Midget. This is the first one I have seen and it has been done very well. The car was first registered in November 1976 (so is now tax exempt) and would have had the large rubber bumpers fitted. The last owner purchased the car in 2013 and proceeded to do the very clever bumper conversion before lowering the ride height and respraying the car. It now looks like the earlier models but with the benefit of the larger 1500 engine. There are 18 old MOT's in the large history file and the one from 1998 shows the car at 60,000 miles. The latest MOT (till July 2018 and no advisories) shows the mileage at only 70,000 so only 10,000 miles in the last 20 years and possibly only 70,000 from new. The file has bills for lots of recent expenditure including a replacement reconditioned engine with unleaded head, new clutch, master cylinder and slave, brake cylinders and pads, battery, Alternator, and Carb rebuild on the mechanics. The interior has new seats, dashboard, soft top, wind deflector, seat belts, Mountney steering wheel,  new clock and a nice CD/Radio stereo. On the outside there is a boot rack, refurbished Rostyle wheels, chrome wheel trims and a pair of nice chrome door mirrors. There is also evidence that the car has been regularly serviced with the last one only 3 months ago. A very nice looking car that is ready to go with a long MOT.
