1958 AUSTIN A35 FARINA COUNTRYMAN/VAN. TAX & MOT EXEMPT. GREAT LITTLE WAGON. £6995
This Austin A35 was first registered 21st May 1958 which makes it now 63 years old. It is both Road Tax and MOT exempt. It has a AV5 chassis number which means it left the factory as a van but as often happened back then it was quickly converted to Countryman specification by fitting the rear windows, rear seats and headlining. This enabled the purchaser to avoid paying the purchase tax on cars as they had bought a van! Clever stuff!! The semaphore trafficators are still present and working but front and rear indicators have been added. It also has a clever lift up boot cover fitted. The rear seats can be folded flat to make it an estate/van and if you want to go all the way I have seen people put the van panels back in as the vans tend to be more expensive. The mineral Blue paintwork looks good with the satin Black roof. The mileage is currently showing 57,700 but this cant be warranted. The 948cc 4 cylinder petrol engine combined with the 4 speed gearbox propels the car down the road well and is a hoot to drive with smiles all round.
