1983 JAGUAR XJ6 4.2 AUTOMATIC 4 DOOR SALOON. MET.CLARET AND SAND LEATHER. LOVELY CAR TO DRIVE. £5995.
This is a very nice 1983 Jaguar XJ6 4 door saloon with the 4.2 litre straight six engine and automatic gearbox. It is an early series 3 with the recessed sun visors. It was first registered 23rd August 1983 and is finished in Metallic Claret Red with a Sand leather interior. The car was first owned by National Westminster Bank and was probably a Bank Managers car. They did not skimp on servicing and upkeep and the service book in the original book pack shows the car has had 23 services with the first 11 at Jaguar main dealers. The car is showing a relatively low mileage for its age at only 98,000 miles. The good history file also contains old MOT's and invoicing for the cars upkeep over the years showing that in recent times it has had new brake calipers, brake discs and pads, a full brake rebuild (£1685), engine service, central locking serviced and new wipers. The car has an MOT till December with no advisories and drives very well indeed. It has an electric sunroof, chrome remote door mirrors, fantastic stainless steel wheel covers, good chrome, Jaguar mudflaps all round, carpeted boot, inertia seat belts, electric windows, wooden dash, clarion radio/cassette stereo with 4 good speakers and an electric aerial. The leather interior is in excellent condition. The boot is carpeted and contains the tools in the original tool bag. The engine bay is clean and tidy but not concourse. The car sits on almost new Pirelli 205/70/15 tyres. The car is now 37 years old so the paintwork is not perfect but is still very good and looks clean and bright with a few small marks. An entry in to Jaguar luxury motoring at an affordable price.
