1962 MGA 1600 MK II COUPE. MULTIPLE CONCOURS AND BEST IN SHOW WINNER. STUNNING CAR. FULL BODY OFF REBUILD. £36,995.
This wonderful car is simple stunning. It is one of the last MGA's built and was first registered 4th July 1962. Chassis number is GHD2/107950 and it is still on its original registration number of 1193 AW. The car was purchased by the current owner 17 years ago in 2001 as a restoration project and over the next 5 years was subject to an exacting rebuild. The body was taken of the chassis and both were fully restored and painted in the best colour of Iris Blue. The engine, gearbox, suspension, brakes and all the running gear were rebuilt to a very high standard before all the components were meticulously put back together. It would be impossible to list every part used as there are so many but the history file has invoices for over £10,000 in parts alone. Add another £10,000 for the bodywork, paint and labour costs and you have a total cost of £20,000. That was 15 years ago so you could probably add another 50% to £30,000 for a similar restoration today. The car remains in fantastic condition and the pictures speak for themselves. You need to come and see the car in the flesh if you are interested in buying the car. The carpets, red interior, boot area and particularly the under bonnet area are all exceptional. The car comes with the history file, owners handbook and the original buff log book. This car looks and drives better than new.
