1970 MGB ROADSTER IN TARTAN RED WITH WIRE WHEELS. COMPREHENSIVE BODY AND ENGINE REBUILD 25,000 MILES AGO. £12,995.
This great MGB Roadster was first registered in March 1970 so is road tax exempt. Although it has a long MOT it will be MOT exempt as well from this year. Finished in Tartan Red with silver painted wire wheels and a black interior in certainly looks the part. The car has been in the current ownership for
18 years with just five previous keepers. It comes with a vast history file showing that it was treated to a
total nut-and-bolt restoration in the early 1990s with virtually every
single part renewed or refurbished including all new body panels and a
rebuilt engine with new pistons, polished crank etc. There are bills for over £9000 which was a huge amount 25 years ago to spend on restoring an MGB but proves that the car received everything it needed at the time. A run of 25 old MOTs show that the car has only covered some 24,500
miles since the restoration was completed, while dozens of other
invoices show meticulous upkeep over the last 20+ years. The exterior of the car features side repeater lights, good chrome work, spot lights to the front and fog light to the rear. The vinyl soft top is in good condition and there is a full tonneau and even a fitted wind deflector. The underside and wheelarch recesses are all in excellent order. Inside the car the black carpets and black seats present very well and the wood rimmed steering wheel looks and feels great when driving along. There are inertia seat belts, a hidden battery cut out switch and a period radio/speaker/aerial. The car has also been fitted with a 60's period Redex engine monitor gauge which is fully functional and very novel! The boot is fully carpeted and there is a carpet cover for the spare wheel. 3 badges on the front grill. 2 sets of keys. Ready to use and enjoy this summer. MOT with no advisories till April 2019.
