1970 MGB ROADSTER Mk3 GHN5 MODEL. FLAME RED, WIRE WHEELS, OVERDRIVE. ONLY 42000 MILES. £11,995.
This is a really nice low mileage MGB Roadster that has had only 2 owners in the last 34 years. It has a great number plate 'YMG' and well 'Y' not! The car was built late 1969 and first registered 10-03-1970 and it is one of the last ally bonnet models with the removable hood frame. The last but one owner purchased the car in 1984 and he confirms that the mileage is very low. He kept the car for 26 years before the last owner acquired it from me 8 years ago. In all that time the car has only covered 14,000 miles and has been very well cared for and garaged at all times. The car is both MOT and Road tax exempt but does have a long MOT till April 2019. The last owner has recently treated the car to new seats, a new tonneau cover, a new soft top hood, new batteries, rear springs, fuse box, heater hose, cooling hoses, breather hoses, plug leads, water pump, fuel pipes, wheel cylinders, brake hose and a wheel alignment. There are receipts for over £1500 spent. Mechanically the car is very strong with the 1800cc engine showing excellent oil pressure and the 4 speed plus overdrive gearbox all working well. Under the bonnet the engine bay is tidy and there is a fitted oil cooler, new bonnet sound deadening pads, alloy rocker cover, chrome water pipe and oil filler cap and the car has just had a full service. The black interior is excellent with new seats and headrests, good carpets and door trims, a pair of original chrome Britax seat belts and an Intertech sports steering wheel. The outside of the car looks fantastic in Flame Red with excellent chrome accents on the bumpers, overiders, wing mirrors, wipers, locking fuel cap, washer jets, door handles and the new air intake grill with mesh. The boot area is also very tidy and houses the hood frame when off the car, the full tonneau cover and the tool bag with the wheel nut key and Thor hammer for removing the painted wire wheels that the car sits on. There is a nice history file of old invoices etc., 25 old MOT's and even an original sales brochure. All in all a cracking car that looks great, sounds great and drives great.
