1967 MORRIS MINOR TRAVELLER. 1 FAMILY OWNER FROM NEW AND LOW MILEEAGE. FULLY RESTORED AND A FRESH ENGINE REBUILD. £10,995.
This lovely Minor Traveller was first registered 6th July 1967 to a gentleman in Leicester who kept the car for the next 29 years when it was inherited by his son who kept it for the next 22 years. It was in his ownership in the 90's that the car was fully restored inside and out with no expense spared and the car was returned to its former glory. The Ash wood frame was replaced at this time. He used the car sparingly over the next 22 years (averaging just 1000 miles per year) covering just 22,000 miles in that time and there is a photo album showing the restoration. The total mileage is only 83,000. In the last few months the 1098cc engine has been removed from the car and has had a complete rebuild with new pistons and rings, crank grind and bearings, new oil pump, timing chain, clutch, water pump, radiator, recon rocker shaft, recon cylinder head, all new gaskets and seals, new plugs, oil filter and 20/50 oil, electrical service items and all topped off with a coat of the correct BMC green engine paint. It has a new exhaust. Both front and rear brakes have been completely refreshed with new cylinders and pads. The car now zips along nicely with the engine and 4 speed gearbox performing very well. As the engine is as new and covered only 20 miles so far it will need running in and some new oil after 500 miles. The car is finished in Old English White with a Cherokee Red interior. The history file is full of old invoices, 19 old MOT's and 19 old tax discs along with the original green log book, a workshop manual, a drivers handbook, lubrication chart and 2 other Minor books. The car passed the MOT with flying colours and is covered till March 2019. It is tax exempt and will be MOT exempt later this year. This is a perfect family classic and ready to use and enjoy this summer.
