This car is an MB Quattro that was first registered 1st January 1989. Production of the Quattro totaled 11,452 units over the period from 1980–1991and through this 11 year production span there were no major changes in the visual design of the car. For the 1983 the dashboard did away with an instrument cluster and now fitted with a green digital LCD cluster. This was later changed in 1988 to an orange LCD electronic instrument cluster. The interior was redesigned in 1984, and featured a whole new dashboard layout, new steering wheel design, and new centre console design, the switches around the instrument panel were also redesigned at this time. This car is finished in the very distinctive colour of Tornado Red and comes with the optional Black Leather interior. The car remains in very good condition having benefited from a body respray some time ago and a recent engine rebuild and mechanical overhaul. There is a large history file full of old invoices and MOT's and even the original sales invoice from 1989 when the car cost £32,328.50. Since then the car has had 6 owners and covered only 139,000 miles. There is a recent Audi Owners Club insurance valuation at £31,500. The car has just passed an MOT (19/9/20) with a couple of advisories that will be attended to before sale. The original book pack is present and includes the service book which shows regular servicing up to 120,000 miles with 12 stamps in the book mainly from VAG and specialists.
