1966 RILEY ELF. STUNNING CAR. ONLY 2 OWNERS AND 58,000 MILES FROM NEW. VERY ORIGINAL CAR. GREAT VALUE AT £12,995.
This lovely 1966 Riley Elf Registration JAD 117D in Arancia Beige and Ivory was first purchased 23rd July 1966 by a Miss Hudman (a local school teacher) from Warners in Tewkesbury for the
tidy sum of £637 including purchase tax, undersealing and seat belts (the belts
being optional extras at £10.00 the pair). Miss Hudman looked after the
car and so did Warners: there are bills from them on file from 1972 to
1976, by which time the car had covered only 37,000 miles. The Elf has had only one owner since Miss Hudson, who purchased it from her in 1995. The buyer was a garage owner and it has obviously been extremely well
cared-for in their hands, with further bills to prove. It is in
exceptional condition – the rear seats look as though they have never
been used (and they probably haven't) – and the recorded mileage is
still only 58,805 which is genuine. The car is just lovely throughout,
even the engine bay sparkles and those original seat belts are still in
place. This car really is a testament to its owners and has to be one of
the best and most original there is. The 998cc engine fires up on the button and ticks over smoothly. Mated to its 4 speed gearbox it trundles down the road very nicely. The car comes with lots of history, including a V5C, original sales invoice, handbook, Passport to Service,
and invoices dating back to 1972.
MOT with no advisories till April 2019.
