1965 SINGER VOGUE ESTATE. SERIES 3. 1592cc. OVERDRIVE GEARBOX. RARE CAR. £7495.
This 1965 Singer Vogue Estate Series 3 was first registered 20th July 1965. We have with the car the original purchase invoice which shows a Mr. Baerellman purchased the car from Rootes, Piccadilly, London for the grand sum of £1026. It is believed that he owned the car for the next 43 years till 2008. The car has the 1592cc Rootes Group 4 cylinder engine, a 4 speed gearbox and the optional overdrive unit that is still in good working order. The history file has the original sales brochure a few invoices and 23 old MOT certificates going back to 1987. The mileometer was showing 34,000 in 1987. The car had a speedo change (original still with car) at 42193 and the newer gauge shows just 82 miles. Whilst the mileage cannot be warranted it is believed to be correct. In 2019 it had a fresh re-paint in French Olive Green (very close to the original Silver Moss Green) and there a pictures showing the work in the file. All the tools are in the drop down tailgate compartment. The car has excellent oil pressure, a quiet engine, a smooth gearbox, plenty of power and drives very well. These estates are now very rare and a useful classic to own and enjoy.
