1973 TRIUMPH SPITFIRE MkIV 1296cc. OVERDRIVE. MIMOSA YELLOW. ONLY 42000 MILES. £6,295
lovely MkIV Triumph Spitfire was first registered 26th June 1973 and as
such is one of the last Triumph engined 1296cc before moving to the
1500 MG engine. A letter from the Heritage Trust in the file states that
the car was built in November 1972 so it is now 47 years old and is
Road Tax and MOT exempt. Finished in the original Mimosa Yellow with
black interior the car really stands out from the crowd and looks just
great. The interior is excellent and the seats have been recovered as
original. The file also has some invoices for the last owner of some 9
years and 24 old MOT's going back to 1987 show that the car has done
only 20,000 miles in the last 32 years and would suggest that the total
mileage of only 42,500 miles is correct. The car has had recently a new
mohair soft top, re-chromed bumpers and the wheels blasted and painted.
It has also had waxoil treatment, brake calipers, brake pipes, brakes
overhaul, fuel pipes, spark plugs, starter motor, wheel bearings, fuel
pump, exhaust, alternator and a rear suspension rebuild.
