1972 SUNBEAM RAPIER COUPE IN CARIBBEAN BLUE. 52,000 MILES. GREAT LOOKING CAR. £5995.
What a great looking car this is. The pillarless coupe design works so well and is very reminiscent of the Plymouth Barracuda. This Sunbeam Rapier was first registered 8th June 1972. The car is now 48 years old and qualifies for both road tax and MOT exemption. The colour is the original Caribbean Blue and it has just been treated to a respray after the sills had been replaced. The car has had only 3 owners in 48 years (18 + 18 + 12) and remarkably has covered only 52,000 miles in that time. The MOT history shows that in the last 14 years the car has covered only 6000 miles and passed every time without any advisories. The 1725cc straight 4 engine with 4 speed + overdrive gearbox is very nice and gets the car down the road very well. There is a large file with lots of old mag articles and original adverts etc and a owners handbook and 2 workshop manuals. The boot area is really good and the engine bay is very tidy. The body and underside are both very solid and original.
