1966 SUNBEAM TIGER Mk1. OVER £100K SPENT ON SUPERB RESTORATION. AMAZING VALUE. £69,995.
This stunning car is an early British market Tiger that was first registered 1st April 1966. It has had only 5 owners in 54 years and has covered only 93,000 miles which is believed to be correct. There are 26 old MOT's going back to 1980 when the mileage was at 56,000. So only 37,000 miles in the last 40 years. The 5th and current owner purchased the car in 2011 and soon started the restoration. The car was striped to a bare shell and sent away to SPL to be chemically stripped and etch primed. On its return the car was evaluated and the bodywork issues where addressed by Kestrel Classic Cars a professional restoration company. New panels were fitted where necessary and finished with lead loading. In 2015 the body was sent back to SPL for an Electrophoretic dip to give the car long lasting body protection. It was returned to Kestrel where the exacting build up commenced. The car was painted in the correct colour code 92 Artic white. All new nuts, bolts and fixings were used throughout the build. The large history file is full of invoices showing an amazing £108,000 has been spent buying and restoring this car.
