I purchased this awesome car just over a year ago and I have done 1500 trouble free miles in it. It is very fast and looks absolutely fantastic. Known and respected for what it is in the Sunbeam Tiger club.


MRH 209F started life as a series 5 Sunbeam Alpine with a 1725cc four cylinder engine. It was first registered 2nd November 1967. For the next 45 years the car stayed as an Alpine and had only 6 owners. In 2012 the car was purchased and the new owner decided to transform the car by converting it to Sunbeam Tiger specification (and plus some!). Over the next few years the car received a full bare shell restoration and many upgrades & over £60,000 spent.

BODY: Taken back to bare metal and restored with new panels where ever needed. Excellent panel gaps! finished in a stunning Royal Blue colour. A new powder coated hood frame.

UNDERSIDE: As clean as the outside and painted the same colour. Stainless steel custom made exhaust system that sounds fantastic, Tiger rear axle with LSD, Rose jointed traction bars. 15 inch polished rim Minilites with Yokohama tyres.

INTERIOR: Full leather re-trim in cream with contrasting piping, new carpets, new wooden dash, new switches, new modern digital clocks with period appearance, bespoke wiring loom and a sports steering wheel. Scorpion alarm. Central locking.

BRAKES /SUSPENSION: Rear disc conversion, mechanical center handbrake, larger front discs with Brembo calipers, adjustable suspension all around, better springs.

STEERING: MG rack conversion with electric power steering.

GEARBOX: 5 speed Tremec with hydraulic clutch.

BOOT: 2 original fuel tanks plus additional long range ally tank.

ENGINE: Ford small block 302 (5 litre) with Edelbrock performer RPM aluminium heads, stainless valves, performer RPM camshaft, Edelbrock intake manifold and 750cfm carb, ally rockers, eagle I beam con rods with 3/8 ARP rod bolts, Keith Black pistons, Chrome air filter, Edelbrock valve covers, HD oil pump and shaft, electric fuel pump and MSD elctronic ignition, coil and distributor. The engine was set up on John Sleaths rolling road and achieved 320bhp. the car also has a custom made radiator, header tank, electric thermo fan and a remote oil filter.
